I walk in the door after a long day at work and I’m greeted by my son wearing this once perfectly white shirt. I know, I know. Who sends their child to school in a white shirt in spring? I expected marker, paint or maybe food stains. Instead he wore home a great deal of Mother Earth.
Me: Paolo, what happened to your shirt?!
Paolo, nonchalantly: I fell off the merry-go-round…a few times.
No big. I can add it to the steadily growing “camping clothes” pile. By summer, the pile’ll be far larger than his everyday clothes pile.
